The subject matter expertMy work in Strategic Communications is important to me and a large part of my identity and drive to serve the public comes from being a communications nerd! There is more to me than communications though.
I am deeply interested in Americo-Liberian history because I am a descendant of freed slaves who repatriated to Africa in 1827. To that end, I created Homeward Stories, a video project about the connection between Liberia and the United States of America.
Anyone who meets me will probably hear about at least one of my four main hobbies: Writing funny dating stories under a literary persona; roller skating; making my own skin and hair products; and caring for my 300 plants. Click on the Tori's Hobbies buttons below to learn more.
Tori is a senior strategic communications expert with more than 15 years of experience across federal, public health, nonprofit, and higher education institutions. She builds communication plans and marketing roadmaps, digital and social media strategy, speeches, and editorial systems that keep messages salient, persuasive, consistent, and accurately branded.
Communication strategy is a living practice, not a static task. My approach uses ongoing cycles through development, implementation, evaluation, and modification.
